At school for reading, we have been looking at a website called kiwi kids news there is a question to answer so for a task we have to answer these questions witch as you can see these are the questions.

desert island

 

This week We have been doing a Minecraft task where you have to build what you would want to build on a desert Island I built an underwater house for people to stay in. I also built a nice house for me and oscar. And built an electricity system. We have an electricity system so we can keep the elevators working the house is used for a place to stay the night the underwater house is for people to stay when their visiting costs 1 netherite ingot for a night in the underwater house has a nice view to an underwater monument yes we spawned near an underwater monument it was pretty cool at the start but then when I Found out there where no mobs it sucked we were told that we had to choose 2 things to build but we think we built more than 2 things.

Have you noticed the dog poo around town.

 

Have you noticed the dog poop around Hokitika that people haven't picked up? Because I have, people don't pick up their dog's poo and they are leaving it for people to step in. So if you live in Hokitika and have a dog then please pick up your dogs poo. It's like a minefield out there littered with mini dog bombs. I hope you have a look at the newspaper article in the Hokitika Guardian "Reminder to pick up after your dog poo" August 30 2021. This problem has got worse over lockdown, perhaps we should have a dog park to take our dogs with bags provided to keep it clean.

My daffodil project

 This is the Daffodil Day Project I did. I drew lots of tall, tall daffodils and a tree with a beehive and an owl in it. I put it in the window so people can see it and donate to the West Coast Cancer Society.

My pet Poppy

 

This morning we had a Lock Down Pet Day I showed my dog, Poppy. She is a Miniature Schnauzer, she is 4 years old and her favorite thing to do is bark at everyone that would walk past, eating time and she also likes walks on the beach.

For lunchtime, I made some donuts First I preheated the oven to 190'c then grabbed the sifter and started sieving the flour and mixed spice and I don't want to make you bored so I'll just skip to the end and after a lot of mixing Ingredients, we made some yummy donuts. When they were cooked I covered them in sugar.

The new owner of mitre 10 Hokitika

 

This is My brothers teddy bear that we put by the window in mitre 10 clothes because it's lockdown and people that go on walks can look at him and take photos, another reoson we put him there is to advetise mitre 10.Tomorrow I will put him in rugby uniform. Have you got a teddy bear at your window?

Rugby reps

 

Some players were chosen from teams in Greymouth, Hokitika, and South Westland for a West Coast Development Squad. We play games against Buller which was very fun because it was harder than it is most of the time which challenged me as a player. I liked playing with players that I don't usually play with because it was different and I learned new things. Our first game was in Westport and next week it will be in Greymouth. We played in Blaketown jerseys because there weren't any West Coast jerseys to wear, we will be indifferent jerseys next week. Our game on Saturday in Buller had a storm rush through with hail, thunder & lightning it was freezing. I played on the right-wing which I am used to. We won the game 54 12.

This week we have been doing reading on the All Blacks history so the task was to get everything that you know about all Blacks And put it on a Jamboard I put a couple photos of players and a team. Who is your favorite rugby player? Do you play rugby? Because I do, I play for West Rugby Club, as you know from my last post

The kereru Time capsule!

This week my Teacher said we are making letters to ourselves in the future to put in a time capsule.

This is important Because I might forget what happened in 2021 so now I Can look back and think of the good old days.

My learning is going well it's very very cool learning about all the old time capsules.

This Is my pong Game https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/549114377/ This week we have been using Scratch during the week and we were told to make games so I made a pong game. I used A Basket Ball Lebron James and an empty court. I learned heaps more codes that I can use in other games and if you like it then just give me a comment to make more. Or if you had any other cool games that I could make then just say. My learning went really well and I loved it I hope to do more. This term we have been doing art on the Canadian artist called Emily Carr this is my tree art that I made we started off with a peice of paper and used some sponges to dab the paint on some people chose 3 colors like I did as you can see I used blue orange and yelow then once all the paint had dried we painted the trees have you made enything like this? I had a fun time doing this art and I will do this again.

This is one of the reading tasks that we have been doing in class it is really fun because we use our imagination. They are easier to make on slides because other sites are harder to put photos in. Try and find out what all the animals are cost with?

Extra Extra Read all about the war

Corporal Jacksmith 

Dear Mum and Dad 

How are you guys getting on with me at the war?. At first, we all thought we were going straight to war but first, we went to Egypt and trained for four and a half months. It was so bloody hot that we slept in our underwear.

When we got there we found out that some bloody idiot put us on the wrong side of the beach. I've been on the battlefield for about 7weeks. I and my mates Liam and Cody moved up to Corporal. We are very happy about it

After two months of the war, we took the hill called Chunk Bair from the Turks then lost it a couple weeks later before the hill got stolen, the person in command said 'control the hill control the war.' 

 I’ve shot 5 or 6 Turks now Cody's shot like 8 Turks and two of my friends Haki and Lincoln went over the top without permission and got shot. They didn’t think then but that day the Turks thought that we were still there but what we did was left and they made a gun that would fire itself but what they didn’t know was that we were gone and their gun went off.

 I am fine. I hope you are to please could you send some ANZAC cookies.

We have been learning about ANZAC day and Gallipoli I learned about this because ANZAC day is coming up and we are writing letters from Gallipoli to home and we put the coffee on some paper to make it look old.  I liked writing the letter Have you ever been to an ANZAC parade?

Sticking with pigs !

A couple weeks ago we had an author come called MARY ANNE SCOTT made the book sticking with pigs and a couple other books like the amazing I learnt how hard it is to be a writer Mr Bean. she talked about how she came up with the story and things like that some books she used her kids as the characters.

this is my animation that Jack T Cody and Haki and I made it is about rangatiratanga which means leadership. The person who takes leadership is the hero he stops the bullies from beating up the nerd who can't defend himself and eventually  they turn into friends.
